Original Art Exhibit This exhibit contains over 50 original pieces of framed art, photographs and three-dimensional art. June 16, 2008 – September 12, 2008 Global Health Odyssey As part of the CDC’s The Complexity of Emergencies: Responding through Art exhibit, Katrina Through the Eyes of Children is showcased with 2 other non-profit organizations working with children affected by emergencies in both the United States and abroad. Previous Locations Debuted at the New Orleans Museum of Art, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Print Exhibit This exhibit contains over 20 framed prints and photographs from the main exhibit. Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines The Idyllwild Arts Academy was a key player during the art therapy work at Renaissance Village. Along with being a sponsor of Community Initiatives Foundation, Idyllwild Arts sponsored 11 teens from Renaissance Village to travel to Southern California to participate in their 2006 Summer Youth Arts program (see the story under Project Background), and some of the Idyllwild Arts teachers volunteered for art therapy trips to Renaissance Village. It is an honor to have the print exhibit at the 15th Annual Jazz in the Pines, a fundraising event for the Idyllwild Arts Academy.
